"Obi loves chasing pheasants (he never catches them) but in Spring I stop him from doing so because Spring is mating season and apart from not wanting him to get in the way of the mating process, it means I get to watch one of natures great free shows - pheasant dancing. I remember the first time I saw a male pheasant going through it’s courtship ritual. It’s plumage all glossy and puffed out, red wattle enlarged, strutting. marching back and forth, bowing, throwing out one wing, fluttering the other high in the air to make the light dance off his feathers making them dazzle from orange, to brown, to red, to purple, to green - it was so dramatic and reminded me of a passionate Flamenco dancer.
They dance to try to gather as many females as possible - almost hypnotising them in the process and once a female is impressed enough, she’s his for the season. So my pheasant is imagined as one of the greatest Flamenco dancers of all time, Joaqin Cortes - exactly as he was when I enjoyed my first performance" - Angus

Artwork that is with the Publisher or Artist, that needs framing or is bespoke made will come with a small lead time and your confirmation email will have estimated times of arrival. Please note bespoke artwork, including Limited Edition, Original or Commissioned pieces, that have been produced and shipped to you are exempt from the standard 14 day "cooling off" period under the Consumer Rights Regulations (CRR) and therefore non returnable. Your artwork may be bespoke made specifically for your order. Please do ensure you contact the gallery before ordering if you are unsure of the product you have chosen. If we do agreed to accept a return please ensure it is in the correct packaging and safely returned either in person or via the correct courier method on a fragile service. If you would like the gallery to arrange collection we can deduct the shipping cost from the refund/store credit value and the gallery will action a refund/credit note once the artwork is safely back with us.
