Originally from St Albans and now based in the Suffolk countryside, Ashley Saunders is a self-taught artist with a deep love of animals and rural life. Her passion was strengthened by time spent working at an animal sanctuary in the Lake District, where caring for animals deepened her understanding of their individual personalities and soulful presence — something that now shines through in every painting.

Blending acrylic paints and pastels, Ashley captures the quirky charm and character of farmyard and country animals in a lighthearted, expressive style designed to make people smile. Her limited edition prints, restricted to just 45 editions plus 5 artist proofs, are produced on Hahnemühle archive museum paper with a deckled edge and are held in galleries across the UK.
