British born artist 'Echo' based in the south of Manchester is a new artist we are excited to welcome to the Generation Gallery portfolio of art. Creating bold, striking and textured works that incorporate 3D elements or sculptural designs into the canvas, his work is exciting, fresh and full of colour. From an early age, Echo had passion for the Arts, with a love for set designs which begun as a child after his first visits to the theatre. Echo was instantly captured by the magic of the stage and the illusion that is created by the colourful backdrops, the props and the hand created and painted scenes. The mystery was born from the workings of a show immediately grabbed his attention. This passion led him to study at Stockport Art College and his journey began into the world of Art and Design where he discovered the world of abstract and figurative art and love for sculpture. The tangibility and 3D aspect of working with this medium brought his artwork into life both visually and tangibly.
Echo later went on to study at Manchester Metropolitan University where he completed a BA Honours Degree in Art, Film and Photography as his interest grew into the world of TV, Film, Theatre and Fashion. His early influences includes included Pop Artist Roy Lichtenstein, Cartoon Pop, Manga and the artists of DC and Marvel Comics. Echo later focused his talents into visual merchandising and prop design where he began working in construction for the events industry, building displays and sets on a large scale, his career progressed in this field after graduating from university. We are excited to be able to bring a brand-new collection of art from 'Echo' in his debut release.
