Originally from Warwickshire Leanne’s family relocated during her teens to Cornwall on the coast near Gwithian Towans, and it is here where Leanne gained her inspiration for her vibrant landscapes. Leanne grew up surrounded by paint and canvases forming an interest in art from an early age and has gone onto become an accomplished commercial artist with twenty years’ experience. Now living in Devon, drawing inspiration from the ever-changing moorlands, beautiful coastlines and Devon's famous floral hedgerows.
Leanne’s paintings are predominately oil each embellished with glitter, jewels and gold leaf. These unique paintings are textured to give an almost three-dimensional feel, drawing in the observer into the piece. "My head is full of a million paintings and any chance I get to transfer that on to canvas is heaven… time simply disappears and I find it therapeutic. Especially if I’m dealing with an issue in my life, painting gets it all out of my system and all that energy whether negative or not gets put on canvas. It’s never wasted. In fact, I’ve produced my best pieces when I’m dealing with rubbish in my life."
